DEPARTMENT: FINANCIAL SERVICES
DIVISION: FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, REPORTING & ASSETS
SENIOR ASSET CONTROL OFFICER (1 POST)

Requirements:
• Degree (NQF7)/ National Diploma in Financial Management or equivalent 3 year’s tertiary qualification (NQF6)
• Code B Driver’s License
• Computer literate (MS Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint & Financial System)
• Adhere to deadlines on a regular basis
• Supervisory Skills
• Ability to analyse problems, to work accurate and pay attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Be able to work independently
• Must be able to communicate in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
• 2 years’ relevant experience

Duties : Keep an updated GRAP compliant assets register on councils financial system in order to report to all stakeholders on councills assets. Update all new assets, dispose obsolete assets and verify existing assets and barecode new assets, in accordance with GRAP standards and MFMA requirements. Update Insurance register.

Centre : Moorreesburg
Salary : R 289 252.00 – R 375 477.00 per annum (TASK grading 11)

DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES
FIRE FIGHTER (1 Post)

Requirements:
• Grade 12
• IFSAC Accredited NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification
• Basic Ambulance Assistant with current registration at HPCSA or Valid First Aid Level 3
• Code C Drivers Licence
• Must be able to communicate in two of the three offical languages of the Western Cape
• Attention to Detail
• Must be mentally and physically fit and healthy
• 2 Year relevant experience
• Candidates will be subjected to a fitness test (Medical & Physical)

Duties:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with responding to and dealing with firefighting, emergency rescue services, rendering basic medical care, fire prevention and training activities, operating and maintaining firefighting equipment and apparatus, maintaining fire station facilities and related work as required in order to protect the lives and property of the community in accordance with the Fire Brigade Services Act (99 of 1987).

NB: Successful Appointment is Subject to a period of 6 months’ probation, from commencement date.

Requirements:
• Grade 9 / NQF Level 1 / AET Level 4
• Code EC Drivers licence
• Attention to detail
• Be able to work independently
• Must be able to communicate in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good machine operating and technical skills
• Supervisory and reporting skills
• 1 Year relevant front-end loader / machine operating experience

Duties : Performs tasks / activities associate with the driving and operating of the front-end loader;
preparing the site delivery of material and finishing on site after completion of layer work.

Requirements:
• Ability to read and write
• Code EC Drivers licence with PDP
• Basic Life Skills

• Must be able to communicate in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good machine operating, writing and technical skills
• Supervisory and reporting skills
• 2 years relevant lorry / truck driving experience

Duties : Performs tasks / activities associate with the driving of the truck / lorry and the delivery of
materials to and from various working sites.
