Job Purpose:
 To represent the employees matters on health and safety in their designated work areas

Qualifications & experience:
 Must have Grade 12 Qualification
 She Rep Training
 Legal Liability, Incident Investigation, First Aid Level 1
 Basic Fire Fighting
 Code 8 Drivers Licence
 Computer Literacy
 Knowledge of safety legislation and work areas
 Physically fit
 Have good hearing and eyesight,
 Be alert and safety conscious,
 Reading and writing.

WORKING CONDITION:
 Work is normally performed in a typical exterior work environment
 Work can be performed within in an operational area
 Work can be performed during occupations or shuts outside “normal” working hours.
 Be prepared to work in adverse weather conditions.
 Proof of residential address must be attached on the application

 Certified copy of School report must be attached

Qualifications & experience:
 Grade 9 with a minimum of 3 months relevant experience.
 Valid flagman certificate.
 Undergo medical examination and pass.
 Maintain a safe and harmonious working relationship with team.
 Be able to communicate (verbal and writing) in English at all level.
 Be able to fill in daily reports.

Key Accountabilities:
 Assist with basic maintenance and testing of flagman equipment.
 Be prepared to learn usage of such equipment.
 Report any deviances and misconduct to the Supervisor.
 Be healthy and safety conscious.

Position Title : Operator Level 1 (Disc Cutter) X 01
Grade : K1
Duration : 01.06.2022 to 31.12.2022

POSITION PURPOSE:
 To execute work within RME Contracts successfully as per contract rules and RME expectations and to perform daily tasks and maintain production under the control of the Supervisor.

POSITION OUTPUTS:
 Inform Supervisor of material and equipment needed to complete his job.
 Ensure production targets are met within allowable team targets.
 Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety rules and regulations and fire hazards.
 Responsible to complete operator functions to correct standards.
 Record all work done on equipment on Code 29 documentation.
 Inspect and clean small plant every afternoon and report any problems, damages or irregularities to the Supervisor.
 Perform day-to-day maintenance of the small plant and record it on the maintenance plans.
 Perform non-safety-critical machine operations and operating machines that do require a high level of accuracy such as Disc Cutter Machine.

Qualifications & Experience:
 Must be able to read, write and speak English.
 Have a minimum of grade 10
 Must be in possession of two of the following certificates: 1) Disc Cutter Operating Certificate
 At least have 1 year experience in the Rail Industry as a General Worker or Operator

Skills Required:
 Be technical minded
 Be able to complete relevant maintenance Plans
 Be able to repair and maintain the relevant equipment and tools in a good running condition
 Be able to function independently if required.
 Be Safety conscious

JOB PURPOSE:
 To provide a safe and efficient driving service for Transnet (TEW staff).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
 Valid code 10 driving license and PDP certification. A Driver assessment will be conducted by Fleet Management and must be passed before appointment consideration.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
 Basic knowledge of vehicle care,
 road rules and regulations,
 map reading,
 good written and verbal communication,
 attention to detail,
 Planning and organising and excellent driving skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 To provide a safe and efficient and economical driving service to Track Engineering Works staff.
 Maintenance of vehicles ensuring that the vehicle is kept in a clean and roadworthy condition at all times.
 Undertake daily inspection of vehicles for defects and damages to ensure the vehicle comply to a roadworthy condition at all times
 Completion and submitting of log sheets
 Control of fuel transactions as well as the summary of fuel slips and the submitting thereof
 Obey and comply with all traffic rules.

 To assist Track welders in the maintenance of Perway related welding activities by operating a minimum of 2 of the following equipment: MP12, MC2 or a gas equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED
 Must be able to read, write and speak English.
 Have a minimum of grade 10
 Must be in possession of two of the following certificates:
1) MC2 Grinder
2) MP12 Grinding
3) Gas Equipment
 At least have 1 year experience in the Rail Industry as a General Worker Level 2
 Basic knowledge of equipment to be operated.
 Basic knowledge of industry standard relating to the machines operated.
 Knowledge of correct protective clothing and safe working procedures.
 Be technical minded.
 Be able to function independently if required.
