Magalies Water presently has the following vacancy and are inviting applications from prospective candidates.
Maintenance Electrician
R469 984.00 Total Cost to Company
The incumbent will be based at the Vaalkop WTW’s and the primary functions of this
post entail amongst others
• Carryout preventative maintenance, installation, inspections and attend to breakdowns on all electrical and instrumentation equipment with in set procedures to ensure availability of all equipment, that are also kept good, with in safe operating standard and provide quality service.
• Carry out work on DC & AC Drives preferable Rockwell Powerflex, WEG CFW 11, ABB ACS 600/800 and Schneider Electric Altivar
• Carry out work on Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature Transmitters commonly used in the Water industries.
• Carry out work on Electrical Control and motor protection relays.
• Carry out work on High and Low voltage systems
• Carry out work on Electrical actuators.
• Meter reading
• Complete work orders/ job cards in line with set procedures to ensure proper and accurate record keeping.
• Compliance with all safety and health regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• In order to be considered for appointment candidates must have at least a Technical Matric Certificate or N3 Electrical, Electrician Trade Certificate and a valid code 8 driver’s license. 2 years post apprenticeship/ learnership experience in an electrical environment. Medium voltage certification or ORHVS will be advantages. Valid Medical certificate or medical fit to obtain such certificate
