Applications are invited for a General Worker positions in Technical Services at Orpen Camp: Waste Management Site, Kruger National Park. Report to the Maintenance Officer.
The key performance areas of the successful incumbents would include the following:
Key Performance Areas
Perform responsibilities as per supervisors schedule and demand of operations
Sorting and separation of recyclables from non- recyclables and Incineration
Perform crushing and Bailing of recyclables
Store all recyclables according to their types (Glass, Plastic, Boxes and Tins) into their designated areas
Cleaning of the Building and collecting litter around the Facility
Maintain good housekeeping
Report any problem animals and maintanance issues to the supervisor
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are required for the job:
Grade 12
Physical fit.
Basic knowledge of OHS
Knowledge of working in the national park
Ability to listen and objectively understand verbally conveyed message
Experience in waste handling/management will be added advantage
NB. The positions will be filled in line with the Employment Equity Targets for KNP.
