Job Purpose

To monitor and control Wills in progress and signed Wills in safe custody.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (eg: staff surveys etc).
  • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (eg: training/awareness on digital forensic examination to external parties on pro bono basis).
  • Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes by identifying and recommending improvements to tools; policies and procedures to add value to Nedbank.
  • Add value to Nedbank by identifying opportunities to improve or enhance processes through identifying and recommending improvements and supporting implementation of tools; policies and procedures.
  • Data capturing of signed Wills received for safe custody and preparing correspondence to intermediaries/ BDC and clients in respect of signed Wills with Legality.
  • Ensure that safe custody form are submitted timeously for processing.
  • Ensure that the original Wills/ Safe Custody forms are filled accurately through following processes; procedure and policies.
  • Generate Income and mitigate reputational risk and financial loss in line with the agreed standards.
  • Ensure that all necessary governance are in place by consistently following the adminstrative procedures; processes and policies.
  • Acknowledge receipt of wills to the intermediaries and by sending letters to clients.
  • Ensure that all wills received for the month has to be captured by cob on last day of month.
  • Ensure that relationships with advisors/ BDC/ estate managers and clients are maintained and retained; through provision of goood service.
  • Ensure Estate request are dealt with and clients query resolved timeously and copy request/cancellation within SLAs.
  • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values by demonstrating the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that own contribution and participation contributes to the achievement of team goals.
  • Create and manage own career through guidance and support of management; department and colleagues.

People Specification

Essential Qualifications – NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Preferred Qualification

Post Matric qualification in Office Administrationor equivalent.
