Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of a Storeperson to be based at our Springs Plant. The successful candidate will report to the Cold Stores Area Leader.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To control and ensure that production booked in by receiving clerks are correctly stored , to ensure proper protection of the products and the correct stock rotation is applied when issued to packing or the mixing departments.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Conduct daily cold store inspections.
- Conduct daily issue and receipt counts.
- Storage of the following: Processing production, mixing production, inbound production and returns from staging.
- Storing, securing and protection of stock until required.
- Issuing of stock to the packing and mixing departments against a predefined stock rotation policy (FIFO).
- Issue production clerks daily with empty locations for production receipts.
- Participate in monthly stock counts.
- Execute warehouse transfers to optimize warehouse space
- Monitoring and managing stock movement to perfection.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum educational qualification of Std. 10 / Grade 12
- Valid high reach and forklift license.
- Principles of computer literacy
- Two years experience in a cold store environment, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of storing and issuing methods and procedures.
- Storekeeping and stock control in a FMCG environment.
- Stock count ability.
