Job opportunity! We are looking for a Graduate Trainee: Water & Sanitation

GreenCape is looking to grow the next generation of talent in the green economy. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical work experience and work with experts in the field. The Graduate Trainee will be allocated to the water & sanitation sector. While developing skills in this sector, the Graduate’s primary role is to support the relevant programmes in delivering key project deliverables and supporting its obligations with strategic partners.

The Water & Sanitation Programme

The programme’s goal is to increase job creation and investment into water and sanitation technology and services, and to improve water resource productivity. We achieve this through a number of different activities: We perform demand creation activities (such as supporting businesses to become more water efficient and resilient); we provide support to the water and sanitation sector (such as collecting and disseminating market intelligence and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship); and we support improvements in resource productivity (through, for example, our analytical work into the economic impacts of water availability). We have an extensive network of stakeholders that we work with across local, provincial and national government, green economy businesses, demand side business, academia, NGOs, investors, embassies etc.

The duration of this contract will be from the date of appointment until 31 July 2024. Remuneration will be market-related, with the recognition that GreenCape is a not-for-profit organisation. Medical aid is offered as an employee benefit (subject to some conditions).
