About the role:
We are recruiting for 2x Learnerships to join our Winery in Somerset West on fixed term contracts of 18 months, starting in January 2023.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with the cellar team and helping the assistant winemaker during the 18 month contract.
As part of the role you will be studying for a winemaking qualification with Wine Training SA. It is requirement of the contract that employees study and pass the exams.
What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidate will be hard working, punctual (on time), keen to learn and always asking questions. Some experience in a vineyard or within the wine industry will be beneficial.
What you can expect:
- 18-month fixed term contract (January 2023 – July 2024)
- Further experience in the wine industry with local experts
- Winemaking Certificate (NQF Level 3)
Candidates will need to pass a Communication and a Mathematics test in order to be accepted on the winemaking course. Final offers for the Learnership contract will only be made to successful individuals who pass these tests.
