Think Camp – Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

About Think Camp

Think Camp is an award winning EdTech startup that helps kids & teens learn to code.

We run live, online classes which work with small groups of up to 7 students at a time. Our students come from all over the world, but we are passionate about building our product to focus on the African market.

We believe that code is a tool which can open doors and which should be taught in a fun, creative, yet rigorous way. We believe that when a child learns to code, their relationship with technology shifts – they become creators rather than consumers.

Our culture

Our team is young and hard working. We value flexibility and time-off but we also know that we have a unique opportunity at Think Camp and we work very hard to meet the standards we set for ourselves.

We are hungry to learn. We believe that providing honest feedback is essential for learning and growth and we don’t shy away from hard conversations. We take joy in learning from our mistakes and celebrate our wins.

We take extra-ordinary care in serving individuals. Our entire team is empowered to take creative action to best help our students, parents, tutors and fellow team members. We know that solutions are built top down as well as bottom up in organisations.

We are playful. While we have a long term mission, we know that the journey should be a joy – and taking ourselves too seriously doesn’t help anyone.
