TRAFFIC OFFICER
BRANCH: TRAFFIC SERVICES
DIRECTORATE: COMMUNITY SERVICES
Task Level 10: R263 376 to R341 856 (Basic Salary)
R415 024 to R516 503 (Total Cost to Council Package)
(PERMANENT APPOINTMENT)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
 Basic Traffic Officers Diploma
 Examiner or Driving Licenses Grade A
 2-5 years relevant experience
 Code EC & A Driving Licenses
 Conflict Management Skills
 Effective communication skills in at least 2 of the 3 official languages in the Western Cape
 No Criminal Record
 Firearm Proficiency

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
 Traffic Law Enforcement
 Regulation of Traffic (Point Duty)
 Respond to emergency calls
 Respond to complaints from the public
 Conduct driving licence evaluations
 Perform standby duties etc
