POSITION: TEAM ASSISTANT: TESTING (REF:SANAS/TA/08)
SALARY: COMPETITIVE AND MARKET RELATED PACKAGE

The South African National Accreditation Systems (SANAS), based in Pretoria, is listed as a Schedule 3A Public Entity according to the National Public Entities Classification. SANAS is mandated to be the Sole Provider of National Accreditation Services, whereby it formally recognises the technical competency of calibration and conformity assessment service providers that offer testing, inspection verification and calibration services as well as inspection against OECD GLP Principles in both the public and private domains.

The Team Assistant’s main responsibility is to assist the program with all the administrative functions within the business unit.
Furthermore, the position includes other tasks, with regards to co-ordinating travel logistics, office administration, liaising with stakeholders (e.g., regulators, assessors, conformity assessment bodies), filing, etc.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
▪ Implement action plans from business unit objectives by implementing work plans and contribute to the business unit project objectives and deadlines.
▪ Co-ordinate meetings (STC/AC meetings, training, workshops and meetings for Accreditation Managers).
▪ Assessment planning – Liaise timeously with Assessors who will be conducting assessments and schedule and confirm assessments with relevant assessment team and facilities as per the Accreditation Manager’s assessment planning.
▪ Manage office administration by ensuring filing of all relevant documentation and correspondence.
▪ Process new applications, additional visits, suspensions and withdrawals.

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS:
▪ National Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field (NQF 6).
▪ Knowledge and understanding of accreditation processes.
▪ Knowledge of office administration tasks and processes.
▪ A minimum of 5 years Administrator experience, of which 2 years must include experience and knowledge of the accreditation process.
