APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR enke: Youth For Service OPPORTUNITIES in Gauteng, Limpopo, Northern Cape & Eastern Cape

ABOUT ENKE: YOUTH 4 SERVICE (Y4S)

The enke: Youth4Service (Y4S) Programme is a 6-month part-time volunteer initiative for young people (18-34 years old) by enke: Make Your Mark (enke). It is an exciting volunteer opportunity become active citizens in their communities while earning an income and building skills and experience to improve their employability. enke has partnered with 23 organisations in Gauteng, Limpopo, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape to provide 3,000 youth volunteer opportunities.

The enke: Y4S Programme is supported by the National Youth Service, which is one of the components of the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI). The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) is responsible for the National Youth Service, and the National Treasury’s Jobs Fund is the appointed Fund Manager.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 will be eligible.
• Applicants should have no contractual obligations towards other companies.
• Applicants should have South African citizenship.
• Should be available for the duration of the project and prepared to sign a Contract.
• Applicants must be residing within close proximity of the project sites in selected provinces

DURATION

6 months

STIPEND

Maximum of R1 484,16 per month (16 hours per week)

• 1,000 – independent volunteering with enke: Y4S Independent Service Campaigns
