Brief Description
The School of Physiology is a vibrant, productive, research-orientated School in the Faculty of Health Sciences. We are looking for someone to provide support to staff in the School. Applicants with appropriate skills are invited to apply for a full-time post to be filled at the AD 12 level.

Position:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (AD 12)

Duties:
· Reception duties for school
· Venue bookings (internal and external to school)
· Assist with formatting of test/examination papers
· Capturing of test/examination scores
· Liaise between students and academic staff
· Update of information booklets
· Manage Head of School diary
· Serve as interface between school and PG students
· Administrative support for postgraduate programmes
· Tracking and monitoring of PG
· Capture all research outputs of the school

Qualifications
· Grade 12, preference will be given to those with a 3 year post-matric qualification.

Experience:
· Three years’ experience working in a tertiary institution
· Knowledge of university administration systems and policies
· Competency in MS Word and Excel
· Communication skills including the writing of the minutes of meetings and other reports

Remuneration:
Dependent on qualifications and experience. The package includes a provident fund, medical aid and bursaries, subject to the University’s regulations.
