Appointment Requirements:
• Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus National Diploma in Accounting (NQF Level 6);
• 1 – 3 years relevant Accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Accounting/Finance concepts/functions/processes;
• Knowledge of current financial regulations and procedures (MFMA);
• Knowledge of SAP system or equivalent ERP system; and
• Advanced MS Office Suite.

Primary Function: Assist in the budget process and financial planning, budget monitoring and evaluation revenue management, expenditure management, monthly reporting and reconciliation procurement process in terms of Municipal Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulation and other related Finance policies.

Key Performance Areas: Assist in coordinating the budget process, guidelines, Time Frames to ensure uniformity in budget preparation. Prepare and process Payment Vouchers for operational expenses. Processing Provincial and National Grants. Participate in activities post year end requirements as per AG and Audit files preparations. Attend to Creditors queries. Audit files submissions and Group Accounting reporting. Communicate and coordinate the budget process.

Leading Competencies: Accountability and Financial management.

Core Competencies: Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel); Good Communication (verbal and written) and personal skills required.
