POST: SECURITY OFFICER (RE-ADVERT, APPLICANTS WHO PREVIOUSLY APPLIED ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY)
CENTRE: MAGISTRATE WATERVAAL
SALARY: R 124 434.00 – R146 577.00
per annum. The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

REQUIREMENTS:
 Basic Education and Training;
 1-2 year’s Security experience;
 Security Officer’s Training;
 Knowledge of measures for the control and movement of equipment and stores;
 Knowledge of prescribed security procedures(e.g. MISS, MPSS, Protection of Information Act, etc.) and the authority of security Officers under these documents;
 Knowledge on the relevant emergency procedures.

 Knowledge of Access Control measures;
 Good communication(Verbal and written) skills;

 Interpersonal relations;

 Analytical thinking skills;

DUTIES:
 Security Control Room Operations,
 Perfom access control functions,
 Ensure and protect Departmental documents and stores and ensure that it does not leave or enter the building premises unauthorized,
 Ensure safety in Departmental buildings and or premises,
 Rendering access control services at all security controlled areas,
 Implementation of Safety Regulations.
