Job PurposeThe Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide an effective and efficient administrative and secretarial support services within the component. This post is based in Atlantis.
Minimum RequirementsSenior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).
RecommendationExperience in Project administration; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.
Key Performance AreasUpdating of registers and statistics; Handling routine enquiries; Make photocopies and receive or send emails; Distribute documents/packages to various stakeholders as required; Keep and maintain the filing system for projects in the sub-directorate; Type letters and/or other correspondence when required; Keep and maintain the incoming and outgoing document register of the component; Provide secretarial assistance during stakeholder engagements; Provide clerical support with the compilation of training plans; Provide high-level administrative support such as assistance with the line function projects and activities.
CompetenciesA good understanding of general administration and secretarial duties; Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication skills.
RemunerationR 176 310 per annum (Salary level 5)

NotesNote on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
