To assist and support in various functional areas with the handling of administrative tasks to ensure the
smooth running of the Division and the timeous delivery of quality outputs.

Job Requirements and Experience:
 Standard 10 (Grade 12- Matric)

Recommendation
 UNISA Registered students
 Completed 10 modules

Knowledge:
 Knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and
records, transcription, designing forms, data capturing and other office procedures and terminology
 Computer Literate
 Knowledge of students funding processess

Skills
 Writing-Communicating effectively in writting
 Speaking- Taking to others to convey information effectively
 Actively Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the
points being made, asking questions as appropriate
 Reading Comprehension- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related
documents

 Interpersonal Relations- being able to work in a team

Abilities
 Oral Comprehension- The ability to listern and to understand information and ideas presented through
spoken words and sentences

understand
 Written Comprehension- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

operations (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)

Duties
 General Administration
 Assist the Division and staff with the administration of Financial, physical, logistical, and
human resource matters
 Adhoc duties as required by the DSF management
 Provides general office support such as making photocopies, scanning of documents,
sending/receiving faxes, printing, binding of documents, and shredding of documents
 Administers the receiving/ sorting/distributing/sending of post/email documents
 Deals with general correspondence and queries
 Provides general administrative assistance with regards to projects
 Maintain accurate filling/record/archive and documents control systems of matters relevant to
the Division related to the position

Specialized Support
 Attends to enquiries/requests within the field of responsibility and/or disseminate for
necessary attention
 Captures data that are specific to the job
 Receives and distributes material that are related to the specific responsibility of the
incumbent
 Organizes and stores documents relevant to the specific responsibility of the incumbent
electronically or otherwise
 Liaises with service providers/suppliers
 Assist the line manager with specific tasks allocated to the incumbent
 Assist with specific events of the division
 Provide frontline support

Assumption of duty: As soon as possbile
Salary: Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
