| Overview | Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse, or storage yard. This position is a key role in our daily warehouse activities as its main objective is to ensure overall stock integrity. This warehouse operator is responsible for operating the forklift, loading (packing) and offloading (unpacking) containers – loose and palletized, trucks, materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities within the warehouse. |
| Qualifications | Grade 12 (Matric) |
| Experience | Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (12 months to 3 years). |
| Duties | 1. Accurate and safe storage and movement of stock and stock counts: · Responsible for the accurate and correct storage of products as per ISO standards. · Accurate picking of products using the WMS (AX system). · Maintaining the highest levels of inventory accuracies by adhering to the inventory control procedures. · Loading and off-loading of containers, trucks and materials. · General Housekeeping. · Recording and reporting of damaged or obsolete inventory/stock. · Movement of products using the WMS system, or by means of a Forklift. · Stocktaking including daily cycle counts. · Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. 2. Compliant stockholding: · Ensuring the highest integrity of stock as per ISO standards. · Work safely in a Chemical environment by following and ensuring that the Site rules are complied with and adherence to the Omnia Core Beliefs, policies and procedures. · Stock maintained in a safe, secure environment according to legislation and policies, Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment. |
