Security Guard Level 3

Requirements :

Grade C training as per Private Security Industry Regulation Authority (PRISA). Abet Level 3 Training. Knowledge of the access control to public premises and Vehicles Act 53 of 1985. Knowledge of measures for the control and movement of equipment and stores. Knowledge of prescribed security procedures (e.g., MIS, NISA, Protection of Information Act, etc.) and the authority of security officers under these documents. Knowledge of the relevant emergency procedures. Previous experience in security will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Batho-Pele principles and Minister’s Six Key Priorities. Ability to work under pressure and after hours / shift worker.

Duties :

Protect state property, employees, visitors and patients in the hospital for 24 hours. Access control and searching of both vehicles and pedestrians. Operate and maintain security equipment. Escort patients, visitors and contractors. Report breaches and defects. Write statements and testify in court. Escort Finance personnel where necessary. Switch on and off lights in your area of responsibility. Write and submit reports to the supervisor as soon as possible. Comply with security dress code at all times.
