ADVERTISEMENT OF 430 TEMPORARY POSITIONS FOR MALARIA SEASONAL SPRAY & SURVEILLANCE WORKERS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A PERIOD OF 129 DAYS

Applicants are hereby invited from suitable qualified candidates.
Applications should be submitted on the new Z83 obtainable from any Government institutions and must be accompanied by certified copies of qualifications, Identity document and comprehensive CV.
Applications should be addressed to the relevant Centre where the position is advertised as per the address list provided.
Faxed or emailed applications will not be considered.
Applicants responding to this circular should quote circular number and position number as reference on the Z83 application form.
The anticipated date for assumption of duties will be 22 August 2022.
The closing date for the applications will be 02 August 2022.

POST NO: 2 MALARIA COMMUNITY SURVEILLANCE OFFICER (10 Positions) DAILY STIPEND: R310 for a period of 129 Days

Requirements:

A) Qualifications and Competencies
•Experience in community health work
•Basic reading, writing and calculation skills
•The beneficiary must be an unemployed person. The beneficiary must not be receiving any grant or stipend from any Government department. Beneficiary must not be engaged in full-time scholar activities.

B) Knowledge and Skills
•Basic understanding of malaria signs, symptoms, prevention and treatment.
•Record keeping and report writing.
•Attention to detail
•Ability to work under pressure and travel long distance.

C) Key Performance Areas:
•Conduct door to door malaria surveillance activities in the community.
•Assist the malaria teams in taking of samples during malaria testing.
•Assist the malaria teams during malaria case investigation and surveillance.
•Assist malaria team during community mobilization campaigns.
•Keep records and attendance registers of community training and mobilization campaigns.
