Job Title : Procurement Intern.
Qualification : National Diploma in Logistics or qualification in related field.
Requirements : Completion of Secondary education required.
: Good working knowledge of MS Office application (Word, Excel, Outlook).
: Able to easily navigate the Internet.
: Telephone etiquette.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Processing orders for consumables.
• Placing orders with local suppliers.
• Monitoring progress with ETAs and ETDs.
• Updating the tanker schedule.
• Liaising with sales and operations of all the delays or outages on stocks.
• Enforce all rules, policies, SOPs and regulations of the company.
• Report all non-conformances within the job spec immediately.
• Ensure company objectives are met through responsible purchasing in BBBEE accredited suppliers.
• Continuous supplier evaluation.
• Researching pricing and obtaining quotes locally on low value items.
• Assist with stock takes.
