Test Division Summary
Job Purpose
To provide Investment Administration services to institutional clients by applying compliance and accounting standards to fund monitoring, fund accounting and consolidated reporting across multi-managed funds to provide single consolidated view of the fund’s performance and compliance from an independent party.

Client
Interact with Asset Managers, Asset Management Consultants, third party Administrators to gather relevant information to prepare Net Asset Value (NAV) fund reporting packs on behalf of clients to provide a single consolidated view to clients’ to enable management of multi-managed funds. Prepare daily cash reconciliations to validate activity on funds and ensure consistency of reporting.
Plan, prepare and deliver an accurate consolidated reports per institutional clients’ multi-managed fund including trial balance, income statements, balance sheet, supporting documentation or general ledger according to the terms of the SLA (daily or monthly) to be included with the client’s financials for monitoring and management of funds
Engage with clients to resolve fund transaction and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and mandates related queries and escalate issues to management to ensure service delivery to clients within SLA’s
Financial Management
Maintain a debtor’s book of assigned portfolio clients to manage and collect outstanding income from clients to ensure fees are recovered from clients to achieve revenue targets. Prepare and submit billing to clients to collect revenue
Apply relevant accounting principles consistently across all financial instruments and activities within a fund to ensure accuracy of financial reporting of funds.
Risk, Regulatory, Prudential and Compliance
Monitor compliance of all fund activity daily across investments and financial instruments to provide an independent evaluation of fund to ensure adherence to local and international regulatory rules, investment mandate rules and the Collective Investment schemes Control act (CISCA) to achieve satisfactory audit results and ethical management of funds. Investigate rule violations to determine validity of violation before reporting to client.
Engage with client external auditors to provide financial information required to audit funds and assist clients to achieve satisfactory audit results.
Adhere to the control processes and procedures of the IA function to mitigate risks of the complexities within the IA environment. Assist with IA annual ISO audits to assess control processes, control adequacies and efficiencies to maintain international standards of master record keeping and achieve control objectives as a service provider
Data
Prepare regular management information reporting on key statistics and status of services to IA clients. Prepare variance reports to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting or Fund Accounting
