Requirements
- Literacy and numeracy at Abet level 4
- Sage 300 Payroll expertise
- Minimum 3 years HR and Payroll administration experience in a similar environment

Responsibilities
- Manage the efficiency of the allocated Areas, ensuring that it completes its daily work quota.
- Prioritising job outputs.
- Processing all terminations in respect of resignations, retirements, death claims, disabilities, dismissals.
- Ensure UIF applications are processed timeously and correctly and that certificates of service are issued appropriately.
- Monitor the correctness of the processing of annual leave, sick leave, family responsibility leave, study, maternity, long service and other leave.
- Ensure leave commutation activities are processed accurately.
- Ensure all sign-on documents forwarded to relevant retirement fund.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is submitted on time for all claims.
- Ensure that all overtime, standby and general allowances are processed timeously and within the parameters of JCP’s policies.
- Ensure that employee files are updated and secure.
- Check all correspondence leaving the department is in the relevant formats.
- Coordinate the administrative functions of the Gratuity scheme.
- Assist employees with queries pertaining to salary and benefit payments.
- Ensure the distribution of tax certificates to employees and that signed acknowledgement of receipt is obtained.
- Ensure the timeous distribution of payslips to employees.
- Update and maintain accurate and complete employee records in the Sage system Compile and provide monthly reports and statistics to management.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date filing system.
- Control monthly staff returns from depots.
- Monitor Garnishee orders and inform EAP.
- Monitor Overtime trends and ensure legal compliance.
- Communication with internal and external customers to address and resolve queries.
- Communication and advice to Depot management and administrative staff with regard to queries, H.R. policies and procedures and legislative changes.
- Report all instances of non-compliance with policies and procedures to employee relations staff.
- Counsels the families of deceased employees on the procedures to be engaged.
- Advises employees on pension and medical aid benefits, pay related queries and all retirement processes.
