The National Gambling Board (NGB) is established in terms of the National Gambling Act, (NGA) 2004 (Act No. 7 of 2004). It is a schedule 3A Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999). The NGB makes provision for the coordination
of concurrent national and provincial legislative competence over matters relating to the continued regulation of gambling activities and also makes provision for the establishment of uniform norms and standards applicable throughout the Republic in certain gambling activities.
INTERNSHIPS
PURPOSE:
The NGB invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship positions in the following study fields, namely: Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Law/LLB and Marketing and Communications.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
REFERENCE NUMBER: NGB/Int 001-2023
Monthly Stipend: R12 000 per month
Requirement: A three (3) year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications
LEGAL SERVICES
REFERENCE NUMBER: NGB/Int 002-2023
Monthly Stipend: R12 000 per month
Requirement: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law/LLB
INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT)
REFERENCE NUMBER: NGB/Int 003-2023
Monthly Stipend: R12 000 per month
Requirement: A three (3) year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates and those living with
disabilities.
Those who previously participated in any Internship Programme, either in public or private sector will not be eligible or considered.
The appointee will be required to enter a twelve (12) months contract with the NGB (non-renewable).
