Sales agents are appointed as Independent Contractors but also form a great part of our Talent Pool. Should a permanent Salesperson be terminated, the Company will first look at the performing Sales agents before looking for external candidates.
All Sales agents, when they are appointed, are enrolled onto a learning platform called Moodle. This is where they will log on daily to do their required training (i.e product knowledge, learn our Policies and Procedures etc). They are also provided with on-the-job training by the Branch Manager and tools to assist them (i.e catalogs, days that they will be working in-store to telephonically follow up on leads etc)
You work at your own pace and are not required to be in-store every day and their time is flexible. You have very small targets but it is communicated to you that the more Sales they do, the more commission you will earn.
THIS IS A COMISSION JOB
Your commission is paid weekly (one week in arrears) and they can earn between 10% and 20% depending on how much profit they invoice. The commission is paid once goods are delivered to the customer and invoiced. For understanding, the commission model is explained to you in detail so that you are able to set their own income goals.
Currently, where Sales agents have been appointed, they have made a huge, positive impact by contributing to Sales. The greater part of their job is to do prospecting and cold canvassing to ensure an increase in new customers that will result in an increase in Sales and profit.
