| General Worker – IND00238 – (220000D0) Description Position: General Worker: EPWP (Fixed term contract ending June 2023) Department: Economic Development Division: Roads & Stormwater Maintenance Salary: R4 356 per month Core Responsibilities: Repair tar roads (patching potholes) Mix and lay slurry, sweep and clean gutters, streets and sidewalks Offload, clean and store equipment and tools Exposure of services and installation of kerbs Lay and construct storm water systems Clean storm water systems Perform manual labour duties associated with earth moving equipment Paint road markings Install and replace traffic signs Pre-assemble traffic signs NB: The posts as advertised above are Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) work opportunities that will be available for a certain contracted period only.
