| Job Purpose | Bidvest International Logistics is looking to recruit a Creditors Clerk (Accounts Payable) within their payments division, to ensure timeous payments are made to Service Providers in accordance with agreed terms and conditions. The successful incumbent will be responsible to perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data. |
| Qualifications & Experience | * Grade 12/Matric essential * Tertiary qualification in Finance (Degree/Diploma) * Minimum of 2 years experience in foreign reconciliations, trade and disbursements * General ledger knowledge and experience would be deemed favorable * Foreign creditors experience would be advantageous |
| Key Responsibilities | * Controlling local and foreign creditors disbursement accounts, including trade and local disbursements * Monthly reconciliations to statement and ledger * Handling and following up on queries related to disbursements and trade creditors * Liaising with foreign gateways and local operational departments * Resolving queries promptly * Good organizational ability in terms of workflow in order to meet deadlines * Accurate and correct filing of creditors reconciliations and related documentation |
| Skills & Competencies | * Knowledge of Accounting principles and how to accurately apply them. * Knowledge of the Import / Export Industry * Knowledge of the foreign exchange market. * Must be MS Excel literate. * Must be able to work on Cargowise * Must be highly numerate * Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to 3rd parties * Must be able to complete tasks accurately and promptly * Must be able to meet tight deadlines * Effective problem solving skills |
