POSITION: Financial Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Financial & management accounts reporting and analyses. Finance assistance to the FMCG, Dealz and People Support departments. Primary support to the FMCG/Dealz Finance Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring accurate accounting and reconciliations
- Assist with compiling management reporting
- Assist with the budget and forecast process
- Analysis of variances to budget
- Process and system improvements
- Ad-hoc assignments and projects as required
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS:
- A BCom degree (with Accounting major) or equivalent
- Actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA or CA
- Computer literacy: MS Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent process implementation and problem-solving skills
- Self starter
- Excellent planning, organising and control
- Sound business acumen
- Good interpersonal skills
- Competencies required: Devotion to quality; Negotiating; Performing under pressure; Planning; Cooperation; Listening skills; Commercial Drive; Innovation
