Ehlanzeni TVET College invites all interested and suitable candidates to apply for Vacancies on this Circular. These are permanent positions. FINANCE CLERK
BARBERTON CAMPUS

SALARY: R173703-R204612 SL5
Requirements:
- Senior Certificate
- Minimum of a three-year Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance or Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in the field of financial administration will be an added advantage
- Experience working on ITS System will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data.
- Awareness of assets disposal procedures.
- Acquaintance and understating of relevant legislative frameworks governing the Public Services.
- Familiarity of procedures in terms of the working environment.
- Knowledge of assets management.
- Ability to perform accurately and methodically under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license
Key performance areas:
- Compile and maintain records (e.g. Asset records/ databases). Check and issue furniture, equipment and accessories to components and individuals.
- Identify redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete equipment for disposal.
- Physical verification of assets.
- Completion of movement of assets forms.
- Continuously monitor and update the asset register.
- Bar-coding of assets
- Place orders.
- Receive and verify goods from suppliers.
- Capture goods in registers databases.
- Receive request for goods from end users.
- Issue goods to end users.
- Maintain goods register.
- Fleet inspection before and after trip.
- Issue trip authority forms.
- Administer travelling and subsistence claims for payment.
- Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
- Perform the issuing, recording, reconciliation, replenishment, and safeguarding of petty cash in compliance with the college policies and procedures.
- Process, verify and reconcile expenditure accounts and creditor’s accounts and generating expenditure reports in order to ensure transactional records are accurate and up to date.
