Applications for the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative
What is the program all about?
To provide educational assistants to schools to ensure continued learning and teaching in a safe environment.
To provide youth with employment opportunities as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative.
Who must apply for this program?
All unemployed South African Youth that:
- Are between the ages of 18 – 35
- Reside in one of the 9 South African Provinces
- Without criminal record
Where will you be based?
NOTE!!!
When you apply, you will be given a list of the 10 closest schools to your residence, you are able to select 5 schools of your choice. If you are successful you will be placed at one of the schools you have selected.
There are two different positions available: General School Assistants & Education Assistants. Both positions may not be available at all schools.
Opportunities are for unemployed youth up to the age of 35 years old.
The stipend paid to assistants will be R3 500 per month before the deduction of 1% for UIF (R35).

You are able to apply for up to 3 schools. You must know the name(s) of the school(s) that you wish to apply at before starting this application process.
